Ludhiana: The raid on income tax on jewelry and city forex traders entered the second day on Thursday.
All 10 places, including three jewelry showrooms located in College Road, were raided.
In other development, the investigation wing of the I-T Department also raided Jewelry based in Barnala which was said to be a business partner from one of the ludhiana jewelry that was covered in raids.
The source said so far in this attack, officials have found a large amount of hard cash, burdensome documents pointing towards tax avoidance, but the amount of cash or appropriate tax avoidance and from which group has been restored.
In addition, SoHuth I-T also examines account books from all Raided parties.
Some bank lockers from several entities are also being scanned.
I-T officials refused to divulge any information about the raid.
Apart from two foreign exchange traders, three leading city jewelry showrooms included in two business groups are being raided since Wednesday.
