I think myths that studies and sports cannot be chased together damaged: Suhas

New Delhi: Noida DM Suhas Yathiraj who secured silver in Tokyo Paralympics felt his achievements in the 2020 match would motivate him to go better in Paris in 2024.
Suhas lived with your own philosophy.
He used the motto to motivate himself and won a silver medal at Badminton in Tokyo Paralympics.
Significantly, his achievements also help destroy general stereotypes in India that do not equalize the superiority of sports with academics.
“I think this (Tokyo Paralympics) Medal is celebrated by everyone in this country.
The acceptance we get at New Delhi Airport (shows it),” said Suhas to Olympics.com.
“I think myths that studies and sports cannot be chased together have been damaged.
Many are surprised that someone can be good in study and sports.
Parents also want their children both in studies and sports.
They see studies as a more stable choice .
I think a lot of youth at least be able to get the confidence to pursue them.
“it was only in 2015-16 that he turned his attention to Para-Badminton and since then has been managing her duties as Gautam Buddha Nagar district magistrate and his training as an elite athlete.
The way this nation celebrates the success of Indian medalists also makes Suhas believe that the Olympics and Tokyo Paralympics are the Moment of DAS.
“The number of support, the love displayed by all the great people.
There were times when celebrities in the country were film stars and only Cricketers,” he said.
“But I think now, the Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics will be a moment of watershed in Indian history, because the number of praise and recognition is obtained by the Olympics and Paralympians.
I think it must warm my heart,” he added.
And badminton remains a spiritual experience for him.
“Badminton is meditation for me.
I am very methodical, I developed my attack skills, defense skills, my reach.
I worked carefully on that part and also how I would overcome the match.
I visualized the match in my head.
So, I did have a method Which gives me comfort while playing, “Suhas explained.
In addition, he was not active in social media and moved away from it, partly because of his professional role and because he believed that it did not add value to his life.
“I am not at all the person provided because of the administrative work I hold.
I deliberately distanced himself from social media because I did not see additional value through it.
I always believe that we should not go behind fame or money or whatever,” he said .
