JAMMU: A vast forest fire broke out from the Ramnagar area of Udhampur district in Jammu & Kashmir on Monday, forcing government to predict Indian Air Force (IAF) and the Indian Army to aid in the fire-fighting surgeries.
IAF helicopters were pushed into the fire-fighting performance to control the large fire at Ghordi cube of Udhampur district.
According to authorities,”The fire broke out on Sunday night at Daya Dhar woods and afterwards it engulfed a huge place because of elevated temperature.
Countless pine trees and undergrowth were ruined from the fire” Originally, neighborhood volunteers from neighboring villages, police and firefighters in the Forest Protection Force attempted to restrain the blaze but couldn’t include it, after which aid was sought in the IAF and the Army.
Reacting to a call in Udhampur deputy commissioner Indu Kanwal Chib to get assistance, IAF deployed its own helicopters to help douse the fire on Monday morning.
The specific reason behind the fire couldn’t be determined, but it’s thought that the fire might have begun after dry grass caught fire because of increasing mercury.
