Lucknow: In an effort to improve Sanskrit among young people, the Yogi Adityanath Government Uttar Pradesh will offer a third session of free coaching to civil service candidates who choose Sanskrit from November 1.
This step comes as part of the government’s efforts to promote Sanskrit.
Candidates were encouraged to make Sanskrit as their main subject in the civil service exam.
In two years, the candidate in Sanskrit has gained a position in the top 10 in the state civil service exam.
From them, four were chosen as civil servants.

According to a government spokesman, under the free coaching program by Uttar Pradesh Sanskrit Sanshthan (UPS), preparation for civil services ranging from a preliminary examination for interviews is being carried out for candidates who choose Sanskrit.
The entire 10-month session, where training was carried out in three phases where, grammar, philology, philosophy, Sanskrit, prose and poetry, among others, will be taught by experts.
Candidates from all age groups from 21 to 35 years have completed their graduation or equivalent exams from UGC recognized universities, qualified.
The acceptance process for this program will be carried out online and the date of filling out the application form has been repaired from August 9 to September 5.
Entry examination for the third session will be carried out at the end of September 2021 in various centers in the state capital.
The results will be announced at the end of October.
The test will have 100 bi-lingual questions (Sanskrit and Hindi).
From this, 85 questions will be from general studies and 15 of the Sanskrit general knowledge, grammar and literature.
Students can register on the Upss website.
Students, who have met the initial examination of the UPSSC 2020-21 exam, will be given directly.
Below, 15 students will be taken and be given RS 3,000 scholarships per month, provided they have 75 percent of attendance and a good monthly progress report.
UPS participants President Vachaspati Mishra said, “With the aim of producing work by promoting Sanskrit in Purvanchal, the government will also open a new training center at Gorakhpur on the lines located above Lucknow.”
Director, UPS, Pawan Kumar said efforts were made to promote Sanskrit adoption in the highest examination in the country.
