Lucknow: Two police officers – SPO and an inspector – from Unnao were suspended on Tuesday after a suicide attempt by the personal secretary of a senior officer IAS in Lucknow on Monday.
The victim has claimed in a suicide note that the police at the Auras police station in Unnao did not investigate the case submitted by his sister with his in-laws properly.
Personal Secretary (PS) from the Additional Secretary of Secretary, Urban Development, shot himself at his head of Him Bapak Braawan in the city on Monday.
The victim, identified as Vishambhar Dayal, 52, was received at the RML hospital where his condition was said to be critical.
In a note that the police recovered from the room where he shot himself, he blamed his father-in-law’s sister for submitting a case against him for a property dispute, which he claimed not to have a basis.
He was depressed because the investigation of this case had not yet reached a logical conclusion, police said.
Recently, her father-in-law had also moved to court for other cases to be submitted, the trial stated for September 7.
Inspector General of Police (IG), Lucknow Range, Laxmi Singh, who was assigned the investigation to lead to suicide efforts, ordered for the suspension of Sho Aura Hariprasad Ahirwar and Sub-Inspector, Tamizuddin, for dereliks of tasks.
Singh said that the police were suspended because they did not register Cemara against the father-in-law of Vishambhar Ramdevi’s sister whose son Chhotu was allegedly beaten by them.
“The police have written reports of violations that are not recognized in this case and even though the fracture in the hands of Chhotu’s decisive action was not taken by the police,” he added.
On the other hand, providing a detailed description, police supervisor, Unnao, Avinash Pandey, said that Sister Dayal Ramdevi’s sister had property problems with her in-laws and both parties had submitted cases with each other.
Pandey also said that in one of the cases that nested in this connection in 2019, Dayal was also named but the name later.
The police added that other cases were submitted to Ramdevi’s family members under the protection of children from sexual violations, and sexual abuse and police have issued the names of family members.
Pandey also clarified that Dayal was not named in cases of current and there was no ongoing investigation against it.
“The two cases submitted by the Dayal sister are being investigated at this time,” he said.
Previously, on Monday, Dayal had reached his office at around 1:30 a.m.
and entered his room on the eighth floor in Bapu Bhawan.
Around 1:45, another staff at Sanjay Yadav’s office heard gunshots and found that the door of the day his day was closed from inside.
Dayal was quickly taken to the civilian SPM hospital from where he was referred to the Dr.
RML hospital.
Senior police officers including the DCP center along with the police team have carried out intensive checks of the room that employs forensic scientists and has collected evidence.
“The Dayal smartphone is in a work position, a cartridge, revolver and cartridges are immediately restored from crime scenes along with suicide notes in their writings,” said ACP, Hazratgra, Raghvendra Mishra.
Mishra also said that Dayal had reached the office and then asked permission to open an office from the security responsible for Ravi who was on duty.
