Chennai: The Central Investigation Bureau on Monday arrested KathPal, a former head of the main mechanical engineer at the Integral Coach Factory (ICF) in the referrals in Chennai, because they demanded and accepted Rs 50 Lakh’s bribe.
The CBI conducted a search in nine places accused of in Delhi and Chennai and recovered around RS 2.75 cash crore and around 23 kg of gold.
The CBI detained the other four.
The CBI registered a case against IrsMe Batch 1984 officers to pamper in various activities in collusion with a private company’s female director based in Chennai and others in the award / tender implementation in terms of the ICF mechanical division.
The CBI said the defendant had collected bribes from the director of the private company and another between February 2019 and March 31, 2021 (retirement date).
He used the Director of Private Company Director as a channel to collect bribes on his name and also as a guard to keep the alleged illegal satisfaction around Rs 5.89 Crore received in his name.
The CBI said at Kathpal’s request, the Director of the Private Company had arranged to provide RS 50 Lakh as the first installment of the total bribery stored in its resistance through other individuals from a company based in Chennai and his work partners in Delhi for him.
