New Delhi: Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra said on Thursday that the country’s food security must be maintained then respect “farmers must be restored” by revoking Agri laws imposed last year.
Farmers planted plants and did not allow the lack of food grains even during a pandemic, but the prime minister was grateful, he said in a tweet in Hindi in front of an event where Prime Minister Narendra Modi interacted with the beneficiaries of the Food Security scheme in Uttar Pradesh.
, “Modi Ji has brought a black farm law, which is a threat to state food power.
If the country’s food security must be maintained, then the respect for farmers must be restored by revoking the Agri law,” said Secretary General of Congress.
Farmers, especially from Punjab, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh, have camped at the Delhi border since November last year protested three laws.
From them, a small group of 200 farmers now held protests at Mantar in Central Delhi after getting a special permission.
