Kalyan: To make cleaning the city of Twin Kalyan-Dombivli and more beautiful, Kalyan-Dombivli Head Municipal Corporation (KDMC) Dr.
Vijay Suryawanhi on Monday started a special city transformation campaign.
Under this campaign, Dr.
Suryawanshi with KDMC staff, representatives of NGOs and residents on Monday held a special cleaning program in Kalyan in Khadak on Circle.
Cleaning work is done on both sides of the road from Khadak on Circle to Sandeep Hotel.
This includes cleaning the soil and debris on the road due to rain and clean road dividers.
KDMC for the same thing has started a ‘special sanitation week’ which starts on Monday and it will end on October 31.
Dr.
Suryawanshi said, “More participation of NGOs and residents in the ‘KDMC’ transformation campaign ‘will help in making the city cleaner and more beautiful”.
A similar program was also carried out in six other wards in the city by each Ward Bangsal officer.
Suryawanshi said usually garbage was disposed of on the road by vendors and shop owners on the streets, who tarnished the city.
Therefore, together with the corporation it is also the responsibility of residents to keep the city clean and beautiful.
During this special campaign, deputy commissioner of the Sanitation Department of Ramdas Kokare was also present.
