IG ranking officers to review criminal cases against Punjab MPS, MLAS

Chandigarh: The Punjab High Court and Haryana have directed the Punjab government that in the case of unnecessary delays in cases of members of parliament and MLA (former and sitting) countries, he can seek an explanation of the investigation officer concerned.

The division bench consisting of justice of Rajan Gupta and Justice Karamjit Singh gave this order while hearing ongoing pills regarding the disposal of pending criminal cases in the region against MP and MPA sitting and sitting.

Advocate Senior Sumeet Goel, while representing the CBI, gave details of several cases of CBI who were delayed against MP / MLA in Panchkula, Chandigarh and Mohali.

Representing the Government Government, additional lawyer General India Satya Pal Jain told HC about the Peniting case against Punjab CM Amarinder Singh in Ludhiana.
He submitted a status report on behalf of the Directorate of Enforcement (ED) that a criminal case was institutionalized by Ed against Sukhpal Singh Khaira, sitting MLA.
HC was told that investigations in the case against Khaira were now detained considering the temporary direction given in the petition.
He also informed about staying in the case of ED against Bhupinder Singh Hooda.
The problem will now be heard on August 19.
The material problem is waiting before HC in Petition Suo Motu, where HC has been seeking details of Punjab countries, Haryana and UT Chandigarh about the suffering of cases against leaders in their respective countries.
HC has recognized this problem in following the direction of SC and appointed senior advocate of Khosla Rupinder as Amicus Curiae to help the matter.
