Nagpur: Regional Nagpur Center from Indira Gandhi National Open University (Ignou) will offer a variety of professional certificate programs and degrees including subjects such as French, Spanish and Migration and Diaspora studies and many more.
Some new programs will be offered in full online mode.
This course is launched by considering the busy youth and professional schedule, which might want to improve their skills or learn new languages ​​but cannot do it, said P Sivaswaroop, senior regional director, regional center of Ignou Nagpur.
Some of these programs include Bachelor of Social Work Online (BSWGOL), Master of Business Administration (Mbaol), Master of Computer Applications Online (McAol), Bachelor of Computer Application Online (BCAOL), MA in Journalism and Mass Communication Online (Majmcol)), MA English Online (Megol), Masters in Rural Development Online (Mardol), Postgraduate Diploma in the Environment and Occility Health (PGDEOHOL), and a Postgraduate Diploma in Rural Online Development (PGDRDOL).
Certificate courses in the construction of France, Spain and the countryside will also be online.
New programs have been introduced from the January 2022 session and the last date will be extended further, said Sivaswaroop.
“According to the needs of the community, Ignou added a new program in each session,” he said.
Some undergraduate and postgraduate programs have been added this year.
They include MSC in food safety and quality management (MSCFSQM), MA in the environment and occupational health (Maeoh), PG Diploma in Agribusiness (PGDAB), Diploma in Horticulture (DHORT), and Postgraduate Diploma in Migration and Diaspora (PGDMIDI).
UG courses include Ba Honors in Sanskrit and Ba Honors in Urdu.
The wise registration and certification scheme (CRCS) is also an option for those who do not look for long duration courses.
“Some may be interested in updating their knowledge in one or two topics such as media ethics, digital media, etc.
For such people, Ignou has started CRCS.
Sivazaroop said in line with the 2020 national education policy (NEP 2020), Ignou has started Doing a Counseling class in Medium Marathi.
Middle-class Marathi is held through the TV channel of Swayam Prabha and Gyandarshan from Pune.
