Letter: While the first batch of the Bachelor of Technology (BTECH) from the Institute of Information and Technology India, the letter (iiit) came out, the Premier Institute was still waiting for his own campus.
In fact, the source said that IIIIT, which operates from the Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology (SVNIT) campus, must wait for at least two more years to delay his campus in the land allotment for four years without the Institute of Teach staff full-compled.
At present, IIIT depends on SVNIT for infrastructure and teaching staff.
The Institute has 150 student intake in two branches – Computer Science (CS) and Electronics and Communication (EC).
It has nine regular faculty members and about eight of SVNIT provides teaching support.
It also has a visiting faculty.
According to Director IIIs, J S Bhatt, the Institute has been alleged 28 hectare land near Kamrej near the national highway which will be easily accessible to students from the city of letters and outside.
“We are in the planning stage.
We have land ownership and hope to start construction work immediately,” Bhat said.
During the first campus placement that had just been held, 44 students from 64 were recruited by various companies.
The highest annual payment package offered is Rs 41 Lakh.
From CS Branch 27 of 37 students and for EC Branch 17 of 27 qualified for placement.
The average annual salary offered to CS students is Rs 9.18 Lakh and for EC students is Rs 9.77 lakh.
