Nagpur: India Institute of Management (IIM), Nagpur, aims to start the campus abroad in Southeast Asia, said Director of Bhimaraya Metri.
The Institute also targets international accreditation in the future.
Director spoke during the Postgraduate Program Orientation Program (PGP) in the seventh batch of management in a temporary place in VNIT on Monday.
He also welcomed the first Batch of PhD students at the Premier Institution.
The online event was attended by IIM-N faculties, staff, senior students and students from Batch 2021-23 from all over the country along with their family members.
Metri said IIM-N was the only Institute located in the heart of the industry in the world’s fifth fastest growth in the world.
“We are the iim that grows the fastest with our almost complete physical infrastructure and a sophisticated permanent campus are almost ready to start operations.
We will move immediately after safe under the condition of the Covid-19 pandemic at this time,” he said.
The director emphasizes the existence of young faculties, but is very eligible and experienced, sustainable involvement with industrial experts and global views as clearly by many strategic partnerships of Iím-N with universities in Japan, Europe, Canada and the US.
“Subsequent learning will be increased by initiatives such as the Industrial Week (where successful entrepreneurs will share their experiences), international weeks (where faculty members from famous universities from all over the world will teach), the leadership program of business thought and e-mentoring that will connect students with Alumni who work in the corporate world to utilize their wealth of knowledge and experience, “he said.
Chairman of the acceptance, Varsha Khandker, told that the PGP Batch 2021-23 had the highest proportion of non-engineers (21%) to date and they came from 20 states throughout India.
He urged students to focus on learning learning, open to knowledge and look for it in the world.
Chairman of the PGP Prakash Awastthy reaffirmed that the next two years will be very important.
“In an industrial environment that changes, learning in IIM will allow students to maneuver new challenges.
Our multifacet pedagogy which includes real life involvement with industry, peer learning and international exposure, designed to create managers who can handle global problems,” he said.
