Chennai: For the first time, the Indian Institute of Management-Tiruchirapalli (IIM-Tiruchirapalli) has decided to give Weightage for class X and XII sign to enter his Postgraduate Program (PGPM) program from 2022-23 academic years.
The institution also plans to increase the intake of 140 seats this year, and will recognize 410 students from this academic year.
“Previously, we were used to giving 10% Weightage in recognition for ug scores.
This year, the reception committee decided to break down 10% to give 2% weightage for class X signs, 3% for class XII signs and 5% for graduation mark.
Students With consistent academic achievements will get preferences in the new Weightage system, “said Professor Prashant Gupta, Chairperson, Acceptance, IIM-Trichy.
In accordance with the incoming policy for PGPM 2022-24 batch, 50% Weightage will be given to scores cap, 25% Weightage for personal interviews, 3% Weightage for Verbal Understanding, 5% Weightage for work experience, 10% Weightage for academic performance, 2% Weightage for professional qualifications and 5% Weightage for prospective women.
Last year, Iim-Trichy had 240 seats in the PGPM course and 30 seats in the PGPM-HR program.
“We plan to increase intake in PGPM for 360 and 50 in PGPM-HR.
This institution grows and we have decided to increase our intake,” said Prashant Gupta.
IIM-Tiruchirapalli will conduct a general registration process of 2022 (cap) on behalf of nine IIMS in Bodh style, Jammu, Kashipur, Raipur, Udaipur, Ranchi, Sambalpur, Sirmaur and Trichy.
Overall, the number of seats available to the public registration process 2022 tends to increase around 200 years.
“We hope that around 2,600 seats will be available for the receipt process,” he added.
In the release, this institution said nine IIMs had decided to exclude written (WAT) tests such as last year and conduct personal interviews online because of Covid-19 outbreaks.
“IIM-Tiruchirapalli is used to provide 10% Weightage for WAT.
Now Weightage for personal interviews has increased from 18% to 25% and the remaining three percent of Weightage will be given to verbal understanding, which will be taken from the Cap Score,” the official said.
Last year, around 17,500 students were invited to the general registration process and 13,000 students appeared for interviews.
This year, Iim-Trichy plans to call around 20,000 candidates and expect around 15,000 candidates to take part in the process due to increased seats.
The last date of the stamp registration is January 28.
