Visakhapatnam: India-Visakhapatnam Management Institute signed a memorandum of understanding with Hindustan Shipyard Limited (HSL) on Wednesday.

All members of the Iim-Vizag faculty were also present.
HSL CMD Commodore (RET.) Hemant Khatri said that the MoU would facilitate mutually beneficial relationships between the two public institutions and public spirit to increase the greater good stakeholder.
CMD also talks about increasing focus on ESG – environmental, social and governance aspects.
He said that it was a matter of pride for HSL to enter the partnership with IIMV and he was sure of the transformation that was seen through the intervention of capacity building.
“As part of MoU, HSL will offer offers to work on direct projects and research in the management domain to the IIMV MBA students.
Similarly, IIM-V will offer capacity building programs to HSL personnel.
Both institutions will utilize their respective strengths in Greater public public interest, “Hemant Khatri said.

Director of Iim-V Prof.
M Chandrasekhar said; “For HSL Junior and Secondary and Medium Officers, there will be a minimum of three ‘capacity building programs on campus per year, with a duration of each full of five days.
Likewise, there will be a minimum of one” on campus “capacity building programs for senior HSL officials “Prof.
Chandrasekhar said.
The Director of IIM-V added that the capacity building program for junior and medium officers would be widely focused on management functional domains such as the business environment, science of decision-making, organizational behavior & human resources, and production & operation strategies.
“These programs will try to build the knowledge and skills of the participants,” said Prof.

Chandrasekhar added that programs for senior officials will focus on developing leadership.
“This will be borne in a combination of focused themes such as developing strategies, studying leadership, communicating with impacts, systemic interventions, interpersonal effectiveness, using data for decisions, etc.,” said Director IIM-V.
