Visakhapatnam: India-Visakhapatnam Management Institute has started a five-month long professional program in human resource management (PPHRM) for Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) officers.
Cohort has participants from Mumbai and Visakhapatnam.

The Executive Director of HPCL employees, Suresh Shetty, said: “It is important for a professional HR to embed three basic components such as empathy, ethical governance, and analytical skills to develop the right HR attitude.”

Collaboration between HPCL and IIM V were present as part of their MOU they appointed recently.
General Manager, Visakh Refinery, K Nagesh set the tone for this program.
The Bisakha Majumdar program director explained the typical features of a specially designed curriculum.
According to Iim-Vizag officials, this program aims to develop an overall understanding of the role of human resource management in advancing organizational strategies and to respect the change in HRM practices in connection with the dynamic change context in the organization.
It will also provide exposure to participants in the tools and techniques adopted in HRM such as HR Analytics.
This program will be held virtually, with the last phase dealing with project presentations carried out on campus.
