Bhubaneswar: Institute of Indian Technology (IIT) Bhubaneswar has designed and developed low power semiconductor chips that can be used in audio electronic devices.
A team led by MS Manikandan and Srinivas BOPPU have designed and developed conversion data conversion conversion of ultra-low metal-oxide data (IC) that targets sensing devices, monitoring and wireless internet (IOT).

Another team led by Vijaya Sankara Rao Pasupuredi has designed and developed a short sub-sampling intensively digital RF Power ref Front End that targets IOT applications.
This chip, which includes several design innovations, made in TSMC, Taiwan and will come soon.
RG Raja Kumar, Director of IIT Bhubaneswar, said they had worked on this semiconductor chip project for the past four years.
“Many companies in Odisha have tried to design this semiconductor chip, but they are unsuccessful.
There are not many skills available locally.
Now IIT Bhubaneswar has come up with a new product.
This semiconductor chip production activity will get encouragement.
We will share our expertise with industry in this case, “he added.
Raja Kumar said the Institute had plans to further improve the ability and forward it in the coming years.
“The development of this Institute will provide trust in the industry and catalyze IC design activities and help put Bhubaneswar on this map of technology,” he added.
