New Delhi: The Department of Science and Energy Engineering IIT Delhi has launched a new Bachelor program, BTECH IN ENERGY ENERGYERING, officials announced on Tuesday.
Students who have fulfilled the requirements in Jee (continued) 2021 are qualified to enter the program.
The new undergraduate program (UG) will begin with the academic session of 2021-2022 with the intake of 40 students.

You have succeeded in throwing your votelogin to see results “There is a critical need to develop human resources with the capacity to overcome the various energy challenges and related to the environment holistically with the future view and the vision needed,” said Subramanian Ka, Head of Department, Head of Science Department Energy and Engineering (DESE) at the Institute of Indian Technology (IIT), Delhi.
“BTECH programs in energy techniques are designed to equip students with important knowledge and skills to take the challenges of the energy sector and provide solutions to problems towards achieving sustainable energy, which are accessible, available and affordable.
Energy is one of the fastest growing sectors.
This is in an important transition of conventional energy to clean and renewable, resulting in sufficient placement opportunities, “he added.
The 45-year Energy Study Center Institute (now DESE) has become one of the oldest centers in this country providing education in the energy domain and involved in the latest research through three MTech and Doctoral (PhD) programs.
“Energy is very important because it has considerable implications on economic development and environmental sustainability.
Therefore, many opportunities exist in the energy sector.
Students who are eager to take careers in the energy sector can be explored to join the Btech Energy New program,” said V Ramgopal Rao, Director, Iit Delhi.
