Guwahati: Indian Technology Institute Guwahati and Brahmaputra will collaborate to overcome river related problems and how to use the river more efficiently for the benefits of society.
Collaboration will help for better river management such as Brahmaputra.
This is a partnership of experimental studies and computing together by promoting student academic visits and officials for mutual benefit stakeholders.
The MoU about this collaboration was signed by IIT Guwahati Director of T.
G.
Sitharam and Chairman of the Brahmaputra Body of Rajiv Yadav.
Highlighting the unique aspects of this collaboration, Sitharam said, “Complex river management such as Brahmaputra is only possible through the collaborative approach to academics and industry and this is a step towards that goal”.
“The MoU between IIT Guwahati and the Northeast Hydraulic Institute (Nehari) will create synergy in the field of research and allied activities related to the Basin, Flood and Management of River Banks.
