Hyderabad: Indian Institute of Technology, Hyderabad (IIT-H) is investing more than RS 1 Crore in six startups working in the field of autonomic navigation.
The technology startup in this most works on building drones, autonomous indoor logistics ecosystems for warehousing, burial, etc.
and Aviac, which works on ecological monitoring using drones, will get each Rs 25 Lakh.
“We are building a smart machine that is quite capable of autonomy.
Our drones will be able to collect data in real-time and will also be able to assess the surrounding environment to avoid obstacles,” said Rishabh Choudhary, Co-Founder, Uavio Labs.
He said they would take advantage of funds to develop algorithms and test drones for various sectors.
Apart from this, the IIT-H ITIC-Tih Incubator (Technology Innovation Hub on autonomous navigation) also invests up to RS 10 lakh each in the initial startup, namely Rovonize, which is the reconnaissance of UAV building, Qotpars which makes the best drone for video applications And photos and adetics, which work on passive thermal cooling systems for Li-Ion battery packages.
“Through the Tihan program, IIT-H focuses on building research capabilities in the autonomous navigation domain, UAV and ROV.
In addition to startup, this facility will also be available for researchers and industries in general,” said Professor P Rajalakshmi, project director, Tihan.
Tic incubator in IIT-H supports the inner technology startup and will support more startups in the coming months.
The technology startup in this will mostly work on building drones, autonomous indoor logistics ecosystems for warehousing, overseeing the UAV
