IIT-IISC with NPTEL initiatives launched a course at EVS, Iots

Chennai: National ENHANCED LEARNING (NPTEL) technology program, online learning initiatives with IITS and IISC, have launched new courses on electric vehicles and renewable energy, design for IoT, business, and sustainable development for its side semester through the Swayam platform.
NPTel offers more than 500 free courses to students throughout the country in online mode.
Courses are taught by the faculty of IITS and IISC.
Registration for the July semester – Dec 2021 has begun and the last date to register for the first set of NPTEL courses is August 2.
“Swayam-NPTel currently works with more than 4,000 educational institutions in the fields of engineering, art, science, trade, and management throughout the country.
Students and faculties of these institutions take the NPTEL course to increase their knowledge and skills.

On the NPTel platform including data science for engineers, programming courses in Python, C, C ++, introduction to machine learning, soft skills, project planning and control, “Vignesh Muthuvijayan, the NPTEL coordinator in Iit-Madras, said.

Students must watch videos online, send tasks on a weekly / monthly and can register for optional final procorored exams.
There is a nominal fee that is charged towards the procorored exam directly for certification.
Students can request credit transfer once they delete the NPTEL certification exam, if approved by the Institute of Education they are affiliated with it.
NPTel has received more than 1.4 crore registration until now.
NPTel videos have received more than one billion views so far and the NPTEL channel on YouTube has more than 3.1 million customers.
It was initiated by seven IIT (Bombay, Delhi, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras, Guwahati and Rookee) together with the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore in 2003.
