IIT Kanpur signed the MoU with the Indian Air Force for academic collaboration

Kanpur: India Institute of Technology Kanpur and the Indian Air Force has handened hands in their efforts to build strong technology both in the academic front and research in the Aerospace technology domain.
To mark the initiation of partnerships, memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the Indian Air Force and the Canpur Institute of India Technology was signed on Wednesday at the Air Force Headquarters, New Delhi.
However, Iit-Kanpur opened details about the signing of the MoU on Friday.

The reason behind the partnership is to build a long-term relationship for academic-based interactions and research and exchange of technical knowledge to foster the development of knowledge and promote breakthrough innovation in the aerospace technology domain.
The significant partnership between IITK and IAF will create a new front line and strengthen the Mission of Atmanirbhar Bharat and open the road to India which is relatively independent.

Abhay Kandikar, Director of IIT Kanpur said, “We are proud to be associated with the Indian Air Force to collaborate in research and training.
We hope that the lead chief will set a new benchmark in this space with a broken research initiative.” Chair of the Excellence will promote the development of teaching, Research, and technology in Aerospace technology, aircraft structural integrity, aircraft health monitoring and other allied subjects in the field of Aeronautics and flights.
This will facilitate the development of training programs for IAF personnel who will provide a platform for new knowledge dissemination and ideas to innovate new technologies.
It will also provide a research grant to the PhD scholars of Aerospace Engineering from IIT-K which works in these fields.
Research Bachelor Program (RSP) will establish a framework for cooperation between two participating organizations from the national interests where in officials serving the quality of the IAF will be eligible to enter directly into Ph.D, M.Tech and the gold program at Iit-kanpur.
Officers will get the opportunity to conduct a time-bound research in various IIT-Kanpur departments.
This will help in the exchange of ideas and thoughts and research independently of national goals.
The partnership will make a collection of think tanks with strategic knowledge and intellectual skills among IAF officers.
The skills and development of these officers will contribute in various ways for the nation.
This will help to show new technology interventions and create awareness among IAF officers to overcome their problems through interaction with Members of the Faculty of IIT-K.
