Chennai: Institute of Indian Technology Madras (IIT-M) launched the MS program in entrepreneurship.
The MS (Entrepreneurship) research program has been offered from 1982-83 by the Management Study Department, IIT-Madras, and has developed to emerge as a benchmark among all institutional programs that focus on entrepreneurship.
Now it was launched again as a separate full-time course.
The selected scholar will work with the faculty on the ideas that can be commercially clicked.
‘ They will be guided about how to find entrepreneurship opportunities and officially set their startup through a combination of courses taught, research, and employee guidance.

This program is open to students throughout India who have completed a bachelor or postgraduate degree, and the last date to apply is November 30.
“A lot of research occurs in IIT-Madras who have commercial potential.
This program will create a technology entrepreneur who will ‘product-ize’ these ideas and work on the development of business plans around them,” Ashwin Mahalingam, Professor, IIT-M, which is part of the selection committee, said.
