New Delhi: Madras Institute of Indian Technology (IIT) maintained the top position among institutions in this country, while the Indian Science Institute (IISC), Bengaluru gave the best rating among the research institutions, according to the NIRF ranking of the Ministry of Education was announced on Thursday.
In the sixth edition of the National Institutional Framework (NIRF) which was announced by the Dharmendra Pradhan trade union education, eight IIT and two national technology institutions (NITS) found in ten engineering institutions in this country.
The Institute of Indian Management (IIM) Ahmedabad ranks as the best B-School, while Jamia Hamdard was declared the top institution for pharmaceutical studies.

In the college category, Miranda’s house in Delhi bagged first ranked followed by Lady Sri Ram College for women, Delhi and Loyola College, Chennai.
In accordance with NIRF ranking, AIIMS Delhi has pocketed the top spot among medical colleges followed by Chandigarh pirimer and Christian Medical College, Vellore.
