IIT-Madras to launch a master’s program on an electric vehicle

Chennai: With the industry (EV) industries see growth in recent years, the Indian Technology Institute – Madras (IIT-M) launched a master’s program on electric vehicles.
This dual interdisciplinary degree (IDDD) course will increase student involvement with e-mobility and will be offered for students B technology and double to improve research in the field, the Institute said.
Students are expected to enroll in this program starting January 2022 during their third year in the B Tech program and title degree.
Initial intake is expected to be 25 students.
The students who graduated from this program will have a set of skills needed to pursue employment opportunities in EV product development including EV integration, vehicle aggregate techniques, communication and calibration, product verification and planning and portfolio.

IIT-Madras has played an important role in building the ability to e-mobility through a variety of centers and programs including battery engineering centers and electrical vehicles (CBEEV) and initiated startup through iit-Madras incubation cells.
