ROCCEEE: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee held the 21st Annual Meeting on September 11 through online mode due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.
Prof Pradeep K Khosla, Chancellor, University of California San Diego, the US was invited as the main guest of the event and the ceremony began with “Veda Mantochhar” and brought the ‘Kulgeet’ (institutional institution) by students.

Even during the challenging sustainable time caused by the Covid-19 outbreak, IIT Roorkee continues to function effectively and allow students to complete their courses.
“Given the applicable pandemic, this year we arranged our meeting in a virtual model.

According to a statement released by IIT, Roorkee, a total of 1804 degrees awarded this year, in which, 912 was a graduate, 685 graduate and 207 doctoral degrees.
The Director congratulated all the recipients of the degree and award-winning during his words.
He said, “I hope that the years you spend on IIT Roorkee will remain with you as a valuable memory.
You are a proud member of the Brotherhood of IIT Roorkee and will remain forever.”
The main guest, Prof.
Pradeep K Khosla said, “I am always very proud to graduate all over the world, but this year mainly because you have proven not only that you can adapt, but also that you can develop under the relieve circumstances.”
Furthermore, Reddy spoke about the famous achievement of IIT ROORKEE.
He said, “IIT ROORKEE continues to be on the list of the 10 top engineering institutions according to the ranking of NIRF 2021.
The Institute now has more than 500 academic staff and 8000 students in 23 academic departments.
We have launched several important courses for engineering education such as artificial intelligence, science Data, industrial design, micro-electronics and VLSI this year.
”
This event was concluded with the ceremony National Anthem and Award where, 125 medals (including 43 gold), and cash prizes worth RS.
12.45 lakh is distributed between 156 students.
