IIT Study Steps to Apply Air Action Plans in Delhi

New Delhi: Delhi Institute of Indian Technology (IIT) is conducting research to identify technological, economic, social and legal obstacles in implementing clean air action plans in Delhi and developing integrated and open data analysis tools to help policy makers.

The project is expected to help Delhi achieve the national clean air program target of 20% -30% reduction in PM levels over the next few years and put the foundation for larger and more aggressive interventions in the following phases, officials said.
According to the report, the objectives of this project include pollution hotspot management and a reduction in exposure, the identification of road barriers in the implementation of clean air action plans, identification of sustainable solutions to burn and develop open platform for management of air quality real time decisions.
