Gurgaon: Corporation Municipal of Faridabad (MCF) Commissioner Garima Mittal said on Tuesday that the demolition of illegal buildings, according to the direction of the Supreme Court, will be carried out soon in the area.
In front of the demolition of around 10,000 houses in Khori Faridabad Village, Commissioner together with police officials and MCF visited the village on Tuesday to review the situation in the field.
The locals said that the officials, who visited the village on Tuesday, told them to empty their homes because they said that the demolition would take place on Wednesday and the Eartmovers had reached near the village.
Security has been estimated in the village and the spread of the police has also been added.
The source said that the demolition of unauthorized houses built on Aravali land will be carried out by the police team and the MCF on Wednesday.
The MCF commissioner does not respond to calls and messages despite repeated efforts.
“The official told us to empty our house and said that demolition would take place on Wednesday.
We have planned Mahapachayat on Wednesday, we are not too sure whether it will happen or not because officials say that demolition will be held on Wednesday,” said Satender Kumar, a resident of Khori Village.
“Commissioner MCF visited Khori Village and then held a meeting with local police and administrative officials.
While overcoming officials at the meeting, he said that the Supreme Court command would be followed and the task was assigned and the teams formed to do demolition,” said press release Official issued by the MCF.
It was on June 30 that a clash broke out between the population and the police.
The incident occurred when police tried to stop the meeting for Mahapachayat in the village.
The police demanded that after the villagers did not dissolve after the appeal and villagers repeatedly pelted the police with stones.
Farmer leader Gurnam Singh Charuni has also arrived in the village to join protests.
It was on June 30 that the protesters had decided to hold Mahapachayat on July 7 if their rehabilitation requests were not fulfilled.
