Illegal Rohingya Migrants pose a threat to national security: the government told LS

New Delhi: Illegal Rohingya Migrants pose a threat to national security and have reports that some of them have pampered themselves in illegal activities, Lok Sabha was informed on Tuesday.
The State Minister for the Houses of Nityanand Rai’s written answer came in response to questions by members of the Bahjan Samaj Party (BSP) Ritesh Pandey.
“Illegal migrants (including Rohingya) pose a threat to national security.
There are reports of some Rohingya migrants who pamper themselves in illegal activities,” he said.
The minister said the writing petition was submitted at the Supreme Court, praying not to deport Rohingya from India.
“The problem is sub-assessment at the Supreme Court.
However, no stay given by the court about Rohingya Deportation,” he said.
Rai said India was not the signing of the United Nations Convention in 1951 related to the status of refugees and the 1967 protocol on it.
All foreign nationals, including protection seekers, are regulated by the provisions contained in foreign laws, 1946, ACT registration, 1939, passport (entering India), 1920 and regulations and orders and orders, 1955 made below.
“Foreign citizens who enter the country without legitimate travel documents or their travel documents expiration when living in India are treated as illegal migrants and dealt with in accordance with existing legal provisions,” Minister said.
