Ghaziabad: A police team on Wednesday damaged the Illegal weapons manufacturing plant operator in Muradnagar and arrested five of them.
Police identified the defendant as a safe alias Annu (30), Noor Hasan (30), Sohail Malik (23), and Joseph (20), all of them from Meerut, and Salman, Delhi residents.
Police said that four other suspects, Abdul Salam, Haji Julfikar, Chaand Pehalwan and Sahid Mama, all from Meerut, are currently running away.
During the interrogation, the defendant revealed that Safe, Abdul Salam, Haji Julfikar and Sahid Mama rented a factory, which was intended to be a housing house, from one Jahiruddin of Rs 20,000 per month, said that Akash Patel, Ghaziabad.
The four men have hired other people to make illegal weapons.
The defendant made a stating gun, ‘Tamancha’ and other weapons at home for the past four months.
“Police knew that Jahiruddin also used this property to make illegal weapons, but he shifted his manufacturing unit elsewhere.
After that, the defendant used this property,” Patel said.
In general, the defendant sold a state-made gun amounting to RS 20,000 and which was smaller for 10,000 Rs, according to the police.
Meanwhile, ‘Kattas’ ranged from Rs 5,000-10,000 according to quality, police said.
The police recovered 12 pistols of 0.315 bore, two pistols of 0.32 bore, along with one pistol, on Wednesday.
The police also recovered many tools used by the defendant to make weapons.
