JAIPUR: Approximately 5 percent of the populace under age 18 years have tested positive from the areas of Dausa, Hanumangarh and Dungarpur from the next wave. The district administrations maintained this wasn’t alarming as all kids are asymptomatic and not one of them were admitted into hospital. The districts have begun the procedure for establishing devoted Covid wards for kids because it is worried that at the next wave, even more minors will examine positive. Dausa CMHO Manish Choudhary stated,”In the initial and second wave, we had approximately 13,000 instances including individuals of all age classes. At the next wave beginning from March, we had roughly 9,000 cases from that 2-3percent were kids. I recently issued a letter Monday to establish a committed Covid ward for kids from the district till date we haven’t had any kid who took hospitalisation.” Back in Hanumangarh, officials maintained that the complete proportion of affected kids between 0-10 years has been 2.8percent while more than that by 10-20 years has been 8.3 percent. District collector Nathmal Didel explained,”We cannot say we’re already in third tide and because last year we’ve had about 19,000 Covid positive examples from that 10 percent were kids. These kids are those whose parents had been infected because of which they also captured the virus. But there have been no deaths and hospitalisation. If needed, we’ll take care of paediatric wards in hospitals. Across the country, in all the districts, the problem is similar in regards to the amount of kids getting infected” Didel stated they’ve fitted the ambulances with small and large oxygen tanks so they may be used for kids also.
