THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: KPCC president Mullappally Ramachandran on Saturday stated he filed an account on AICC president Sonia Gandhi shortly after the election results came out pointing out that the factors for the collapse of the celebration.
He also rubbished reports he composed a letter to the party president.
“I’ve detailed everything from the accounts and therefore, there wasn’t any need to compose a letter to Sonia Gandhi,” he said, while talking to colleagues.
In addition, he denied reports that he had uttered the meetings of Ashok Chavan committee made by AICC to research in the defeat confronted from the party in the elections.
“I didn’t boycott the sitting of this committee.
I advised the committee chairman I have given a comprehensive report on Sonia Gandhi describing the motives behind the party’s defeat.
Therefore, I’ve got nothing more to add.
I recommended the committee to attach this record as my announcement in its record,” he explained.
Mullappally stated that he has expressed his readiness to resign by the party president’s post and it’s been already advised to Sonia Gandhi.
“I’m now ongoing as a caretaker president.
This has been the reason I kept away in your UDF meeting held on Friday.
It wasn’t appropriate and politically correct in my area to attend the interview as KPCC president once I’ve given a letter to the party leadership to step up,” he explained.
“Sonia Gandhi talked to me once she obtained the report and she’d vowed all service for me personally.
I advised her that I’m shouldering the responsibility of your party’s defeat and I am prepared to stop,” he explained.
In his account, Mullappally, has been believed to have blamed groupism in the party because of its own defeat.
He’s learnt to have stated that team supervisors were dictating terms at the celebration and he wasn’t confirmed a completely free hand to accept decisions.
From organizational issues into deciding on applicants, it’s become the group directors that had the final sentence.
Thus, the celebration is now dysfunctional in the grassroots which has been the reason for the party’s dismal performance, he’s learnt to have mentioned in his account.
Reports have surfaced that Ramesh Chennithala has also composed a letter to Sonia Gandhi expressing his displeasure over how he had been unceremoniously removed from the article of the resistance leader.
