Mumbai: The former Indian Opener Gamaram Gambir believes that the head coach Rahul Dravid will be a very successful Indian team coach.
He added that with Dravid became Indian captain in playing time, coupled with extraordinary work ethics, carrying a lot to the table.
Dravid, who replaced Ravi Shastri became the head coach of the Indian team, will begin his job with the T20i series of three matches against New Zealand, starting from Wednesday.

Before taking the work of the head coach of India, Dravid served as Director of the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru after four years as an Indian head coach and below 19.
Under the training, India has reached the two World Cup finals under 19 years, losing to the Hindia West in 2016 and won the tournament against Australia in 2018.
He also stepped as head coach when India conducted a tour of Sri Lanka for three odi and as many as T20is in July this year.
Sharing his thoughts about the appointment of Dravid, former Indian captain and Legend Batting Sunil Gavaskar expect him to handle coaching work like he bread as a Cricketer India.
“When he used to play, we used to think that until Rahul Dravid was folded, Indian batting was safe and strong.
This is the reason why I believe that the new responsibility of the head coach falling to top, he will be able to handle it in the same way.
