New Delhi: The third wave of “unavoidable and near” pandemic, said the Indian Medical Association (IMA), urged the center and the state government not to reduce the guards and increase tourism temporary vaccination, pilgrimage can wait several months.
Increasing concerns over the government and people satisfied and involved in mass meetings without participating in the Covid-19 protocol, Ima said these events were super-potential disseminators for the third wave.
“Bonanza tourists, pilgrimage, religious spirit, all needed, but can wait a few more months,” the association said on Monday.
“Opens these rituals and allows people without vaccination to go scot-free in this mass meeting is the potential of SuperSpreaders for the third wave of Covid,” Ima said.
The statement occurred on the day when Rath Yatra annually began in Puri and there was a discussion about allowing Yatra Kanwar in Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand.
