Imam, the priest holds to rape underage children in Assam

Guwahati: The mosque cleric and a temple priest had been arrested for allegedly raping two little girls in the Hojai District and Carbi Anglong Assam, police said on Saturday.
A six-year-old girl was allegedly raped by Imam Mosque in Hojai District while she was alone at home on Friday.
The mother of the child filed a complaint to the police and the scholar was arrested.
He was returned in court detention on Saturday.
In a separate incident in Caratory District Anglong, a 15-year-old girl was picked by a priest at her house she was stored by her parents to appear in the school online exam because the network connectivity of her poor.
The girl was allegedly raped on July 22 and but she managed to escape and reach her village.
The girl’s family approached the women’s organization who filed a case with the police.
The priest was arrested on Saturday, the police said.
