Ranchi: Ranchi’s Office of the Indian Meteorology Department (IMD) has expected its rain with thunder activities throughout the Jharkhand between Friday and July 27.
Rain will occur because of the influence of the southwestern monsun trough and low pressure system that developed in the northern bay of Bengal, the weather scientist here said.
“Under the influence of low pressure areas in Bengal Bengal, North West and the rainy season, Jharkhand will experience light to moderate rainfall throughout the week.
Heavy rainfall is also expected to occur in the isolated part,” said IMD.
Most states, including Ranchi, Jamshedpur and Daltonganj did not receive considerable rainfall on Thursday.
“Normal monsoon above the country in the last 24 hours.
While many places recorded light to moderate rain, the coderma recorded the highest rain (52 mm) until 8:30 a.m.
on Thursday,” said IMD.
IMD further said the country has so far received 414.1mm rain since June 1 against a normal average rain of 431.2 mm.
In meeting parleasts, the rainfall deficit of up to 19% is considered normal.
As many as three districts (Dhanbad, coderma and Lohardaga) have received excess rain so far while Chatra, Gumla, Simdega, Khunti and West Singhbhum are lack of rain, said IMD.
