Immediately, 2 friendly gardens disabled in Chennai

Chennai: Children and disabled people will have more reasons to smile this month with two new inclusive parks ready in the city.
Minister of Man Chief M K Stalin is likely to inaugurate a park in Kotturpuram and Nolambur this month.
The first park as it was inaugurated in December 2018 in Santhome by The Greater Chennai Corporation.
It not only won them the state government award but also a big hit among defective and elderly children for its exclusive game features.
Even the park has brought together the entire community, apart from getting awards from the locals too.
Both new gardens boasted plain-friendly playground equipment such as Merry-GO Round-on-Wheelchair, a sensory area for blind and deaf people such as stepping stone, wind bells, touch and graphitti, game area and opposition.
This park also has a herb park, outdoor gym, table game, badminton court, and multiplay area.
Santhome Park has a basketball court for people with disabilities.
Sitting behind the design desk, Kavitha Selvaraj, Architect City-Works, who designed the park, said, “The idea is to fulfill all senses and make it inclusive with at least one type of defect.
We have also made these parks more sustainable with more space Green and porous soil, “said Commissioner Kavitha Corporation Gagandeep Singh Bedi said they were happy to add this park to the city landscape.
“Our plan is to add one inclusive play equipment in each park, to make it all accessible to disabled people.
