Gurgaon: To overcome the residential area issues dedicated to industrial workers in Haryana, the state government has decided to hold an affordable rental housing policy.
Approved the policy proposed by the City Department and Planning State (DTCP), the government has asked the department to hold a scheme in all industrial belts.
Last month, the DTCP issued a notification announcing that the government has agreed to a good policy through the provision of CLU permits for independent projects or through “affordable housing rental sites” proposed as part of the housing component in the licensed industrial colony layout plan below act non-existing.

“Developers may either make their own development or, alienate the same for each other institution for development as per policy parameters specified here,” read the notifications issued by the DTCP.
According to officials, the policy was prepared last year and has now received a green light from the government, asking the department to ensure effective implementation.
Officials have noted that the purpose of policy to facilitate affordable housing made on the basis of leasing for industrial workers is not willing to have an accommodation or live in a narrow area for economic and social reasons.
“All units in good housing or commercial projects can only be offered on rent both for the short term (at least one month) or for the long term (one year or more.
These units cannot be independently sold well under the ACT apartment ownership, 1983 or vice versa.
Thus the entire remnant projects under ownership are divided into all times to come, “said a senior DTCP official.
Policy specify further that regional norms for these projects will be in the range of 0.5-4 Hectares and residential areas will range from 20sqm to 60sqm.
Industries, when welcoming the move, argues that to make this policy come true and worthy of both workers and industry, more must be done.
