Immediately, cellular applications to help track trees in Gurugram

Gurugram: Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) will soon launch a cellular app to maintain trees in urban areas of the city, including them along the way.
As part of the project, the survey will be carried out in the next few weeks to find out the number of trees in urban areas which fall under the Jurisdiction of GMDA and Corporate City of Gurugram (MCG) and ensure their protection.
However, the project will not cover forest areas.
This application, which has been developed exclusively for tree enumeration, will record all tree details, including high, thickness, age, species, health and location.
This exercise will help the authorities maintain data on trees and assess the extent to which green closure in Gurugram.
Residents can also download the application and see tree details in the city.
“Our team will mention trees on the threshold of the main road in the GMDA and MCG area.

They will be able to fill the tree details in the application, such as their common and botanical names, estimates of age, height, thickness and canopy width, while longitude and latitude will be recorded automatically.
