Nagpur: Amitesh Kumar City Police Chief on Monday said he would hold a de-addiction camp for the husband torturing their wives under the influence of liquor.
The top police voiced his concern for victims of domestic violence during a complaint complaint camp in Alankar Hall at the police headquarters.
About 145 women have submitted a request to participate in the camp to be able to voice their complaints before CP.
The top police, who have heard at least 50 complaints flanked by the DCP of Rajmane and the AddL CP Sunil Phulieri, also stated that the plan to strengthen Bharosa cell units for better maintenance of domestic violence problems.
The woman who was a victim, most of them faced torture from her husband and relatives, had repeatedly sought justice from the top brass, which ensured the quick treatment of their complaints.
CP Kumar, then talked to the media, said the intervention would be carried out effectively to ensure complaints did not worsen evil.
During the camp, CP also asked officers from Bharosa cells to ensure the parties who tried to avoid counseling sessions must be taken to the office of the unit in government vehicles without failing.
