Noida: In the stripes of megacities throughout the world, road models with smart transportation systems will be developed in Noida near sector 71.
In fact, the authority will convert a 4 km long stretch on Jalan Model 3 Zone which will have sensor-based signals to allow vehicle movement as well pedestrians according to the volume of traffic.
If successful, the project can be extended to other parts of the city too, officials said.
The Road model is one of the three projects cleaned by the CEO of Noida Authority on Tuesday.
Close to RS 30 Crore will be spent giving a form on three projects, the other becomes a dog park in sector 137 and a waste garden in a green belt close to Mahamaya Flyover.
The tender document of the model road project, according to officials, is being resolved and will be launched in a short time.
Wi-Fi is activated, the authority will also install a public address system regularly crossing the stretch.
Automatic reflector will also be installed which will begin to shine at night if there are pedestrians trying to cross the road.
To provide different nuances, facading will be carried out at both ends of the road and commuting will be notified earlier that they will immediately enter the road zone.
The wide path will be arranged with two crossings for pedestrians on the road.
Both sides will have tree cover and cycle paths to encourage cyclists and e-bicycle users too, officials said.
While the road model will be developed at a cost of Rs 12 Crore, the maximum amount of money will be used to build a waste garden to surprise that will spend RS 15 Crore.
The dog park will be arranged at a cost of Rs 3 Crore.
Sharing details, officials say that dog parks and waste gardens will be developed on public-private-partnerships and authorities will provide land to camping agents and seek share in their income.
“The details of the two projects will be dayang in a week and agents who are interested will be asked to share their proposals,” said CEO Ritu Maheshwari.
