Kolkata: Chairman of the Minister of Mamata Banerjee on Monday called Bengal President BJP Sukanta Majumdar, hoping for a quick recovery and asked about his health.
Majumdar was accepted at Amri Dhakuria after he tested the positive Covid.
CM calls him at 11:30 and talks to him for about three minutes, said the source.
CM has also sent a fruit basket for majumdar.
On Monday, two Trinamool MPS Congress Chowdhury Mohan Jatua and Aparoopa Poddar also tested Covid positive.
Jatua from Mathurapur and Poddar from Arambagh are both in house isolation in medical advice, according to sources.
Previously, Senior TMC MP Derek O Brien and Actor and Mimi Mimi Chakraborty and Mimi had told that they had tested positive covids and urged people to maintain all Covid protocols.
Some MLA Bengal is also in house isolation because of Covid.
TMC MP Saugata Roy said CM did not take into account political identity during the crisis period.
“This is the human side of Banerjee.
Political identity is not important for him when someone in a crisis.
This is what it should be,” he added.
