Jaipur: The Directorate of Local Agency (DLB) has approved a proposal to have a uniform for Indira Rasoi employees throughout the state.
Both men and women will get a red shirt with blue jeans, hats, apron and jersey for winter.
Women’s employees will also have other uniform choices from red saree with Blue Blouses.
There are more than 2,000 employees who work in Indira Rasoi in more than 350 outlets throughout Rajasthan which will be given two pairs of winter and two summer uniforms every year.
DLB Director Hridesh Kumar Sharma said, “We have decided to provide a dress code to our Indira Rasoi worker for a good impact.
Every year we will bear the costs of Rs 1.5 Crore to provide uniforms to employees working at 358 Indira Rasoi from the country.
The state government has approved the proposal and immediately we will apply it.
“Previously, Annapurna Rasoi was run by a contractor, but to break the monopoly, many contractors were established.
At present, around 300 contractors run Indira Rasoi in Rajasthan.
State Nodal Officer Indira Rasoi, Naresh Goyal said that public responses to Indira Rasoi had been encouraging.
“This is a good help initiative who needs to get food at a low price.
We take the details of people who eat at Indira Rasoi and then the link to provide feedback for Rasoi is also provided for them.
Uniform will provide a unique identity to employees who will work With more vanity and respect, “said Goyal.
