Before two years, the proposal was dropped after a representation made by the original cattle farmer who stated the fear that such a step would damage the Indian breed.
NDDB has recently held a meeting where the proposal is once again discussed.
“NDDB reflects on the idea of ​​increasing milk production.

If the cement of Brazil is introduced in India, it will become a genetic erosion and will destroy the purity of established livestock in India,” said Ghanshyamji Acharya from Gondal, National livestock mission members and are one of the meeting participants.

According to cattle farmers, NDDB must provide technical guidance to Indian cattle farmers, buy bulls from them and do research on various indigenous breeds.
Saurashtra leading breeders have asked all farmer associations from all over the country to hand in hand in opposing the move.
They also demanded national policies on frozen cement imports from European countries.
According to them, European breeds cannot survive in Indian climate conditions.
