LONDON: The fourth seed Alexander Zverev moved smoothly to the third round at Wimbledon with a 7-5, 6-2, 6-3 victory over American Tennys Sandgren on Thursday.
Germany whose net assage is always in the entertaining struggle command in court two as soon as he solves Sandgren’s offerings at 5-5 in the first set.
Since then, it is a one-way traffic like Zverev reached the third round for the fourth time.
Sandgren entertained the crowd with some kind-hearted banter and could only chuckle when he made a total smash mess for a double break in the second set.
Zverev only faces one breakpoint in the match and hasn’t dropped a set.
He will face other Americans in the next round – both Seed 31 Taylor Fritz or Steve Johnson.
