Imprisoned in the UAE to spy on India: HC is looking for a central view of the mother’s request

Kochi: The Kerala High Court has asked the central government to respond to the petition by a mother who seeks her son’s liberation being imprisoned in the UAE, allegedly spying on India.
PB Justice Suresh Kumar directed the assistant public lawyers to inform the view of the central government after considering during the receipt of petition hearing (WP-C No.
13353/2021) submitted by Shahubanath Beevi from Thiruvananthapuram.
Allegedly by the Petitioner that his son, Shihani Meera Sahib Jamal Mohammed, was discarded by an Indian Embassy officials when arrested to spy on them.
Consular officer Anup Kumar Shrivastava, Military Attache Anup Mukherjee, and Arun Jain’s first secretary had been named in the petition as an Indian official who collected information from the Petitioner’s son.
He was convicted of spying on the Indian government while working in a company in Abu Dhabi and sentenced to 10-year prison and the Federal Supreme Court there upholds confidence, according to demand.
The petition also mentions media reports from several Indians who are currently undergoing imprisonment in various UAE prisons after being convicted of spying for Indian intelligence agencies.
Indian institutions attract Indians who are employed in the UAE government institution to get information and when employees are arrested, Indian officials fled under the cover of diplomatic immunity, without helping those who were caught, allegedly by the applicant.
