Islamabad: Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan told foreign reporters at the end of Wednesday night that he believed that the US had chosen India to partner with the children of the continent.
“I think Americans have decided that India is a strategic partner.
Maybe that is why Pakistan is treated differently.
Pakistan is only considered useful in the context of resolving this chaos (Afghanistan),” Khan quoted by Dawn (online)) told interaction with foreign media At home here.
“Hasty ways in which Americans go, if they want political settlement, so common sense dictate that (you negotiate) from the position of strength,” he said, adding that the US now blamed Pakistan when they no longer had leverage.
He said that another reason for the US shift position was a close relationship with China.
“The nightmare scenario for Pakistan will be a civil war that is protracted if the Taliban tries to form an exclusive Afghan government through military takeover,” he told journalists, according to Fajar, explained that the Taliban was a group of majority Pashtun and there would be an abundance effect in the majority region Pashtun Pakistan.
“So it’s possible that we will return to having problems in our Pakhtun area,” said PM, added that nearly three million people had been internally displaced from the Pakistani area due to war in Afghanistan.
“We have a larger Pakhtun population here in Pakistan than in Afghanistan, and they might be the most xenophobic people on earth.
They fight each other normally, but when it is external force, they all gather,” he said.
Every civil war in Afghanistan, Khan said, it will also thwart a connectivity plan with Central Asia and its e-economic agenda.
“Therefore, in Pakistan’s interest that there are political settlements in Afghanistan and all factions gather to form a government.
It represents everyone,” he added.
He also contradicts what is claimed by his national security advisor in a recent interview with “Times Financial”, by saying, “I did not wait for a call from US President Joe Biden.” The subject has been discussed and written in this country for the past few days and PM statements on Thursday once again confuse many people wondering why Khan needs to say what he said.
“I continued to hear that President Biden had not called me.
This is his business.
Not that I am waiting for a phone call,” Imran said in response to a question from a journalist.
Supporters and opponents of Khan have field days that discuss subjects on social media.
Meme made and comments were distributed on Twitter who showed PM waiting for a call that he now said he was not interested in receiving.
The leading satirics and columnist for the Fajar newspaper, Nadeem Farooq Paracha, posted a picture that showed President Biden on the phone said he only ordered pizza in response to ask if he called Pakistani Prime Minister.
