Islamabad: Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan on Monday supporting the takeover of Afghanistan by the Taliban said the rebel group had “broke the slavery chain”.
Referring to developments in Afghanistan, Khan said that enslaved thoughts would never be able to do great things.
“Only original thought, not a copy, prosperous in the world,” he said, while slamming the adoption of different cultural clothing.
“When you adopt a person’s culture, you believe it is superior and you finally become a slave for it.” Then, Khan led the National Security Committee (NSC) meeting, the Pakistani civilian body for decisions about security and foreign affairs, which was held intentionally on the situation that appeared in Afghanistan.
Civil-military leadership discussed the latest developments in Afghanistan and the possibility of its impact on Pakistan and the region and supported US President Joe Biden’s decision to attract troops from neighboring countries.
NSC noted that Pakistan remains committed to the completion of inclusive politics in a war-hit by a war by advancing representing all Afghan ethnic groups.
Supported that Pakistan will continue to work with the international community and all Afghan stakeholders to facilitate inclusive political settlement in the country.
The participants also emphasized that the non-interference principles in Afghanistan must be obeyed despite being claimed by some countries suspected by Pakistani military companies allegedly as the main sponsors and supporters of Afghan militants.
Khan directs that all facilities might be available to repatriate Pakistan, diplomats, journalists and staff of international organizations who try to leave Afghanistan.
NSC reaffires Pakistan’s attitude that conflict in Afghanistan has never had a military solution.
“The ideal time to end the conflict through negotiations may be when US and NATO forces are in the maximum military force in Afghanistan,” read leaflets issued after the meeting.
“The continuation of the presence of a foreign military for a longer duration will now not produce different results.
Therefore, the ratification by Biden administration for the government’s decision of the previous US forces is indeed a logical conclusion for this conflict,” he said.
“It is time for the international community to work together to ensure inclusive political settlement for long-term peace, security and development of the Afghan / region region,” the statement added.
Previously, Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi, who met with the delegation of Afghan leaders at a foreign office, urged the international community to work together and provide economic assistance to make a better situation in Afghanistan.
Qureshi said that he had presented a Pakistani point of view at a meeting with a delegation, which consisted of representatives of all Ethnic Afghan groups, and had the opportunity to understand the expectations of Afghan leaders from their country.
“We do not want neighboring Afghanistan countries to face the effects of chaos and chaos there,” he said.
The day before, Qureshi had said that “When the time comes, Pakistan will recognize the Taliban government in accordance with international consensus, land reality, and Pakistan’s national interests”.
