Noida: Gautam Budh Nagar is one of the top three districts in Uttar Pradesh with the highest number of active Covid cases.
With 10 active cases on October 31, this district was third after Lucknow (23) and Meerut (15).
While Ghaziabad recorded five active cases, Kanpur was fifth in the list with four active cases such as on Sunday.
Lucknow and Kanpur did not record fresh Covid cases on Sundays.
Noida, Ghaziabad and Meerut detected each.
According to official data, Noida has recorded 57 COVID cases this month and this is the first time that number shows a trend in the increase in the last three months.
After a surge in the case between March and June this year during the second wave of Covid, the number has decreased since July.
Of the 156 cases in July, the calculation dropped to 51 in August and 46 in September.
Officials said that one of the main reasons that Noida recorded a large number of cases was that this district often saw travelers.
“There are many people who live in Noida and need to go to work anywhere else.
Some people travel to their workplaces in Delhi and Gurgaon every day.
It’s hard to stop this kind of movement.
Now that Diwali is in the corner, people have to do it.
Make sure they follow all Covid protocols.
There is no need to avoid as much as possible, “said Suhas Ly, the district judge.
So far, the district has recorded 467 deaths.
While the mortality rate is 0.7%, the current level of peposititivity in Noida is less than 0.1%.
Officials said that among those tested positively this month, several hospital admissions needed.
They all have recovered.
At present, all 10 patients are in house isolation.
Since Friday, most market areas in Noida have been jammed with buyers.
Traders and shop owners said they were trying to manage the crowd.
“Some stores only allow many people at a time.
Other customers are asked to wait outside.
In small restaurants and restaurants, the staff urges people to maintain social distance norms,” said SK Jain, Sector 18) Market Association.
He added that most traders and shop owners asked their staff to wear masks at any time.
Meanwhile, six fresh Covid cases were reported throughout Uttar Pradesh on Sundays, which took the calculation of active cases up to 107.
In terms of vaccination coverage, more than 22% of the eligible country population has received a dose of covid vaccine, while more than 66% has got the first shot.
