In 10 days, Jamnagar falsified again with 188mm rain in 12 hours

Rajkot: The Jamnagar district whose flood round was pounded by heavy rain on Thursday in a 10-day range, with Jodiya Taluka received rainfall of almost 188 mm until that night.
According to the District Administration, Taluka received 128 mm rain in just two hours between 6am and 8 in the morning and another 41mm between 10 am and afternoon, at all increases rainfall to 188 mm in one day.
The rain was relentless leaving the lowland area that sank with rainwater flowing into homes that had been damaged by the previous flood episode because of excessive rainfall 10 days ago.
Heavy rain also caused water overflowing from the Aji 4 Dam near the village of Jodiya Taluka and Aji 3 Dam near the village of Khajurdi Padadhri Taluka.
With water levels at Aji 3 Dam Brimming in a full capacity of 53 meters, two dam gates have been opened.
District administration issued a warning of floods for Jodiya Taluka villages including Bodka, Jashapar, Jiragadh, Meghpar, Rasnar, Timbins and Dhrol Talukas villages such as Modpar, Dharampur, Sagadiya.
The water level in Aji 4 Dam has also reached 19.5m, while the capacity is 20.4 million.
The district government has opened three gate of this dam and has made the villages come under this dam including Balamba, Ranjitpar, Hirpara, Morana, Tarana, Madhapar, Singer, Jamsar alert.
The Rangmati Dam from Chakar Village in Jamnagar has also reached its full capacity.
District collector Jamnagar, PS Zamsingh said, “There are no reports of damage or injury, there is water logging because of heavy rain in Jodiya.
Our team is vigilant and SDRF and NDRF has also been warned.” Nakhatrana and Talukas Rapar from Kutch District also reported heavy rain since Thursday morning.
In Rapar, lightning destroyed a temple in Bela Village and a house in Nilpar Village.
According to the local residents, heavy rain also caused waterlogging on Jalan Naliya-Nakhatrana which led to traffic jams.
Anjar Mundra, Bhuj, Gandhidham, Lakhpat and Mandvi Talukas from the district also received rain.
Traffic is influenced between Nakhatrana and Kotda after the local river near the Kanda violates its banks.
Agricultural land sank in various villages of Nakhatrana and caused the weight of the pomegranate tree.
Many local rivers in Mandvi and Nakhatrana also overflowed so that flooding the road.
Rain Basahi Rajkot City is also the sky of the city to remain cloudy since Thursday morning while the rain began to fall after 3pm.
The rain of the night throws the normal life of the equipment in many places while it also floods several main roads such as Yagnik Road and Kalavad Road.
Because of heavy rains in Jamnagar, the administration of the Rajkot District has reminded residents of Padadhri Taluka Village to not be brave in the belt of the river and also keep the rescue team alert.
