New Delhi: China has felled poor nations with “hidden debt” worth $ 385 billion with push for Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) projects, a recent study has been found.
Studies from the International Development Research Research Lab Aiddata showed that almost one third of all projects under BRI were damaged by alleged corruption scandals and protests.
“More and more policy makers in low and medium-income countries are Mothballing high profile BRI projects due to overpriced concerns, corruption and debt,” said Brad Parks, one of the research writers.
